Before we start on Atmail Project, we think that, it is simple HTML code , But after we go through on it, we face lot of problem to integrate it.
First, Let we see the overview of Atmail :
- Atmail is a webmail client system to access our POP3/IMAP email accounts like Micrsoft outlook
- The speciality of this system is it using different theme design for different browsers where it is running
- It has 3 different layout one for Firefox, another one for Internet explorer and last one for other browsers like opera, chrome, safari etc.
- For Firefox browser layout, they are developing the theme using .XUL files, the FF browser itself is developed using this file format. So this theme only working with FF browser only.
- Not like .html files, we cannot easily create a new theme using .XUL files , it has own set of tags, styles and components
- For IE, safari, chrome and opera browsers , the theme is developed using normal .html files
- But we need to work on to get the theme exactly on IE for one set of code and for remaining browsers on different set of code
Here is the screenshot of theme in different browser :
In Firefox
In IE Browser

In safari,chrome

In next post you will see how to change theme in Firefox browser.
