Extremely Useful Shortcuts For Photoshop

Duplicate Current Layer

Hold CTRL and ALT to drag a duplicate of the current layer.

Choose The Background Color Using Eyedropper

With the Eyedropper tool (I) selected, hold ALT when selecting colours from the image window to change the document background color.

To Access Related Tools Quickly

Hold alt and click on a particular tool’s icon to toggle related tools.

Hand Tool

Hold the SPACE BAR to access the Hand tool (H).

To Access Zoom Tool Menu

  • With the Zoom tool (Z) selected, right click on the image window to reveal the Zoom tool menu
  • The menu includes the following options; Fit On Screen, Actual Pixels, Print Size, and Zoom In and Zoom Out.

Merge all selected layers into one new layer

Ctrl +Shift+ Alt + E

Fasten Way To Zoom

Alt + Mouse Scroll

Reset your foreground and background colors to black and white, respectively.

Press D

To Show/hide all other currently visible layers

Alt+ click the eye icon

Set your own custom shortcuts

Press Alt+Ctrl+Shift+k will bring up the Keyboard shortcut Panel
